How do I get a ECTN?
To obtain a ECTN, the shipper (or his agent) must provide several essential documents, including :
- A copy of the bill oflading.
- Commercial invoice for goods.
- The freight bill
- ThePackingList.
- Export declaration or other customs documents, if required.
This information must be submitted to an agency accredited by the recipient country, or directly by the sender via his agent (depending on the procedures in force in the country concerned). Once validated, the ECTN is generally issued electronically.
