The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) has issued a statement announcing a comprehensive revision of the ECTN tariff schedule, effective January 1, 2026. To help you better understand these changes, we have provided a clear and detailed summary of the main amendments below.
1. Vehicles from Europe and Africa: double the rate
The cost of the ECTN for vehicles imported from Europe and Africa increases from:
- 20 euros → 40 euros per frame
This new rate applies to all types of road vehicles concerned.
2. New categories for motorcycles
The CNSC now introduces a specific grid according to the type of motorcycle and their region of origin:
Sport bikes, roadsters, and touring bikes
- 20 euros per frame for those coming from Europe and Africa
- 50 euros per frame for those coming from the rest of the world
Other types of motorcycles
- 5 euros per frame
This distinction allows billing to be tailored to the market's driving segments.
3. New tariff lines for bulk and conventional shipments
The CNSC is adding three new products to the bulk and conventional price list:
- Iron: 100 euros for 200 tons
- Limestone: €100 for 600 tons
- Cement: 100 euros for 300 tons
These products now have a clear billing basis for shippers.
We recommend that all shippers, freight forwarders, and exporters take these changes into account now in order to adjust their forecasts and logistics costs for 2026.
